IN-CAR INSTALLATION<\/h3>\n<p>We have provided you with everything you need to install the system within a matter of minutes.<\/p>\n<p><strong id=\"anker-1-montage\">ASSEMBLY<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>First connect the 12V power cable provided with the P1 on the side <span style=\"color: #3c78d8;\"><strong>(5)<\/strong><\/span> and then connect this to the 12V port in the car.<\/li>\n<li>Secure the bracket in the slot at the front. Unlock the bracket using the button in the centre <span style=\"color: #3c78d8;\"><strong>(6)<\/strong><\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>Attach the P1 to your windscreen using the suction pads and adjust the device until it sits horizontally. Ensure that your view through the window is not obstructed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong id=\"anker-1-hinweise\">Attention:<\/strong> metal may interfere with the device reception. Therefore, please check whether your vehicle is fitted with a metallised or heatable windscreen. If this is the case, you should find out if there is an area of your windscreen intended for the installation of electronic devices. In most vehicles there is an area located near the rear-view mirror. The Navty P1 should be placed here to ensure you can use its full range of functions. <\/br><br \/>\n<strong>Note:<\/strong> protect the device from extended exposure to sunlight.<br \/>\n<\/br><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"anker-performance-mode\">2. PERFORMANCE MODE<\/h3>\n<p><strong id=\"anker-2-download\">DOWNLOAD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Current P1 firmware for the Navty P1 with Performance Mode: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/navty.com\/support\/NAVTYP1.bin\">NAVTY P1 FIRMWARE<\/a> <\/strong><br \/>\n<\/br><\/p>\n<p><strong id=\"anker-2-firmware-update\">FIRMWARE UPDATE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Download the current FIRMWARE and copy it onto a USB stick.<\/li>\n<li>Disconnect your P1 from the power supply and connect the USB stick with the Navty P1.<\/li>\n<li>Re-connect the Navty P1 with the power supply. P1R FIRMWARE ADD-ON<\/h3>\n<p><strong id=\"anker-3-download\">DOWNLOAD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Current P1R firmware add-on with real-time radar and laser recognition: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/navty.com\/support\/addons\/NAVTYP1.bin\">NAVTY P1R FIRMWARE ADDON<\/a> <\/strong><br \/>\n<\/br><\/p>\n<p><strong id=\"anker-3-addon-installieren\">INSTALL ADD-ON<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Download the current FIRMWARE and copy it onto a USB stick.<\/li>\n<li>Disconnect your P1 from the power supply and connect the USB stick with the Navty P1.<\/li>\n<li>Re-connect the Navty P1 with the power supply. The P1 will turn on and the update will be installed automatically.<\/li>\n<li>Once the update has been successfully installed (waiting for a notification on the display), reboot the P1.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong id=\"anker-3-addon-aktivieren\">ACTIVATING ADD-ON<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Ensure that the P1R add-on has been successfully installed and then disconnect your P1 from the power supply.<\/li>\n<li>Hold down buttons <span style=\"color: #3c78d8;\"><strong>(2)<\/strong> + <strong>(4)<\/strong> at the same time for 10 seconds<\/span> while reconnecting the P1 to the power supply.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong id=\"anker-3-addon-loeschen\">REMOVING ADD-ON<\/strong><br \/>\nTo make sure than no expansions or add-ons are installed, you can remove these using a button combination. To do so, press the buttons <span style=\"color: #3c78d8;\"><strong>(2)<\/strong> + <strong>(4)<\/strong> at the same time for 3 seconds<\/span> until &#8222;Performance Mode&#8221; is shown on the display. POI DATABASE<\/h3>\n<p><strong id=\"anker-4-download\">DOWNLOAD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Download the current speed camera database: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/navty.com\/support\/update\/eu\/DB.BIN\">European speed cameras<\/a><\/strong> or <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/navty.com\/support\/update\/world\/DB.BIN\">Worldwide speed cameras (including Europe)<\/a> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Instructions:<\/strong> For details on permanent radar traps, the <a href=\"#anker-p1r-firmware-addon\">P1R firmware add-on<\/a> must be installed.<br \/>\n<\/br><\/p>\n<p><strong id=\"anker-4-update-der-datenbank\">UPDATING DATABASE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Download the current POI database and copy it onto a USB stick.<\/li>\n<li>Disconnect your P1 from the power supply and connect the USB stick with the Navty P1.<\/li>\n<li>Re-connect the Navty P1 with the power supply. The P1 will turn on and the database update will be installed automatically.<\/li>\n<li>Once the update has been successfully installed (waiting for a notification on the display), reboot the P1.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong id=\"anker-4-datenbank-loeschen\">CLEARING DATABASE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To make sure than no POI database is installed, you can remove this using a button combination.
